REGISTRATION
2007/2008 School Year
If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible before September 24. Additional registration packets are available in the office.
Please include your phone# and emergency phone# on the goldenrod colored registration forms. This information was inadvertently omitted.
If your family is registering for the first time, please pick up a registration packet in the School of Religion office or call the office.
First Penance and First Communion - In order to receive the sacraments in 2nd grade, you must register your child beginning in the 1st grade.
Note we have a new Confirmation program taking place. Those students who attend Catholic school do not need to register until 9th grade. Confirmation will be administered late Spring of the 9th grade year. However, upon entering the 9th grade, 15 hours of service must be completed prior to registration. We will be happy to send you service hour forms, please call the office.
New families should call the School of Religion Office (908-647-1402) to register their child/ren (Parish registration is also required.) A copy of the child's Baptismal Certificate is needed at registration time. The fees are $125 for the first child and $50 for each additional children. No child will be denied instruction because of inability to pay fees.
IMPORTANT - Registration packets will be distributed in March. The registration deadline is May 31. Any registration received after the deadline will be assessed a $30 late fee. Parents with students entering first grade in September 2007, please call the School of Religion at 908-647-1402 to receive a packet. A copy of the child's baptismal certicate must be submitted with the registration.
TAKE SPECIAL NOTE:
Confirmation will be held on Saturday, October 27. Group 1 at 10:00 am and Group 2 at 1:00 pm. This first meeting for the Confirmation candidates is October 2.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Many volunteers are needed to make our School of Religion sucessful, no only to serve as teachers and aides, but also to coordinate special events, to manage phone chains, and many other tasks.
School of Religion Policies

Registration in the Parish is mandatory for all families who wish to enroll their children in any of our religious education classes. All new Parishioners should contact the School of Religion immediately at 908-647-1402.
Please note registration fees are $125 for the first child and $50 for each additional child.
ATTENDANCE
Each child should strive for perfect attendence. No more than three excused absences are permitted each year. Parents are expected to call the Parish School of Religion office, or their child's teacher, with respect to a child's absence.
BUSING
Busing is provided by the Parish (from Warren Public Schools) for grades 1-5. Proper conduct is required at all times on the bus to maintain bus privileges.
DISCIPLINE
The Parish School of Religion has established a process to address unacceptable behavior in the classroom. Disruptive or uncooperative children are sent to the office. Subsequently, if behavior is not improved, a call will be made to the parents and a conference scheduled.
DISMISSAL
To maximize safety for all our students please adhere to the following guidelines when picking up children. Please park in spaces in the Parish lot only! All parents will pick up their children from the lower level, except for Wednesday 7th and 8th graders who are picked up in the church.
PARENT PARTICIPATION
Parents own the responsibility of education of their children. The Parish School of Religion assists parents in this role. Parent participation is vital to the success of the program. Please strive to attend all Parent events and support Christian values in and outside of the classroom.
PARISH INTEGRATION
The Parish School of Religion is only one component of Our Lady of the Mount Church. Pariticipation in Parish events is encouraged. A full understanding and appreciation of classroom taught Christian values will be enriched by participation in other Parish activities
