R.C.I.A. stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, and is the process by which new members (baptized in another denomination or unbaptized) are brought into the Catholic Church. Parishioners are needed to "sponsor" people as they go through this process, which takes one to two years. Team members are also needed as instructors in Catholic belief. This ministry supports engaged couples preparing to get married at Our Lady of the Mount. Members of this ministry meet with an engaged couple three separate evenings to discuss the human and Christian aspect of living this sacramental commitment. The Spiritual Enrichment Team plans for opportunities for people of all ages to grow in the understanding and practice of their faith. Particular emphasis is placed on programs during the Lenten and Easter seasons, but opportunities for spiritual enrichment are available year round. Alice Alonso is the leader of this ministry.
