Chris Casciello, Adult Choir Director

Chris Casciello, our new adult choir director, is a Sacred Music major finishing his last year at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.  Chris has studied voice under Charles Walker, Christopher Arneson and Thomas Faracco.  He has studied conducting with Marilyn Shennenberger and Sun Min Lee.  Chris is a member of the Westminster Choir (which is the Chorus in Residence at the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, S.C.) as well as the Westminster Chapel Choir and Schola Cantorum.  Chris has performed with leading orchestras including the NY Philharmonic, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, and the NJ Symphony Orchestra and sung for leading conductors including Harry Bickett, Bernard Labadie, Neeme Jarvi, David Robertson, Joe Miller, and Joseph Flummerfelt.

Stearns Matthews, Accompanist

Stearns Matthews, our new accompanist, is finishing his senior year at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ where he will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Music in Music Theater, under the tutelage of Christopher Arneson and Nova Thomas.  He spent the 2007 summer season at the College Light Opera Company on Cape Cod performing in musicals and operettas.  He has performed with the Westminster Symphonic Choir and Westminster Choir at Carnegie Hall, Riverside Church, NJPAC, and Spoleto Festival USA under the batons of renowned conductors Joseph Flummerfelt, Harry Bickett, and David Robertson.  For the past three years, Stearns has been the bass section leader in the parish choir at Immaculate Conception in Spotswood.  He founded the Smoke Rise Children’s Theater in Kinnelon and served as their artistic and musical director for four years.
