Loretta Maksimik joined Our Lady of the Mount Parish as a young girl living with her parents in Warren. She is now married to Deacon Walter Maksimik for 39 years. They have four grown children, all are married, and have been blessed with five grandchildren

In 1986, Loretta was hired to run the Social Concerns Ministry. She saw a need to reach out to the bereaved of the parish, and, after being trained through the Diocese of Metuchen in 1992, she began implementing OLM's Bereavement Support Groups.

After serving many years as Director of Parish Ministries, Lorretta Maksimik was named Director of Pastoral Life.
